I’m back, well hopefully more at a consistent rate. There has been plenty of adventures since my last post, the 2nd half of year 2017 ended with a bang from the El Paso Chihuahuas winning the division and Conference, to the UTEP Miners football team playing in Norman Oklahoma against the 2017 Heisman Trophy Winner Baker Mayfield, and UTEP finishing the season 0-12 which we also had the Aggies from New Mexico State beat the Miners for the first time in 8 years. NMSU went on to make the Nova Home Loans Arizona bowl game and won which ended a 57 year drought. WWE also returned to the Sun City for the first time in 15 years or so and had a great turnout! WWE Superstar from El Paso Sin Cara made a special appearance at the El Paso Boys and Girls Club with some of his fellow WWE Superstars The New Day and Naomi! Smack Down Live rocked the Don Haskins center with Superstars from the New Day and the Oso’s, to Naomi, Sin Cara, Bobby Roode, the Legendary Randy Orton and AJ Styles. The Main event featured the WWE Champion Jinder Mahal taking of the Japan sensation Shinsuke Nakamura. The Ayatollah of Rock and Roll-a Chris Jericho and his band Fozzy made a stop in the Sun City during their 3 cities, 3 shows in 24 hours one day tour.
I got work on some great portrait projects with the likes of the former “The Voice” contestant Valerie Ponzio, The Oscar Mayer Weinermobile, Green Bay Packers running back Aaron Jones and the Budweiser Clydesdale’s. I had the honor of taking the portraits of Local TV personalities Kandolite and Kazhal , Josie Ortegon and Eric O’Brien, and models Michelle , Monica, Monique, Mercedes, and Elisa.
2017 ended with the Annual Hyundai Sun Bowl game between the North Carolina State Wolfpack vs the Arizona State Sun Devils. NCAA Defensive Player of the Year Bradley Chubb made the trip to the Sun City, but did not play. The Wolfpack would go on to crush the Sun Devils.
Here is a look at the 2nd half of year 2017
